Cookbook from Anthropologie online

I love baking. I definitely have a lot of work to do in the cooking area, but baking I can do. I think baking is easier because the recipes are so simple to follow! In my search for a new baking cookbook, I came across this one, The Hummingbird Bakery Cookbook, on the Anthropologie website. The recipes and photos look delicious.

This would make a lovely gift for any cupcake lover!

Zoe Chicco

I often get lost in blog world, and I find myself (through many links) discovering new designers, stores, blogs, artists etc. Today I stumbled across Zoe Chicco, a fabulous jewellery company that offers classic and versatile pieces that will last a lifetime. She has a cult following of celebrities as well, including Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz and Uma Thurman.

Hudson's Bay Company Heritage Blanket

Today I woke up to a beautiful, sparkling two inch layer of snow! Cooper was so excited and ran around like a maniac in my backyard (For those who don't know, Cooper is a dog, not a person). I love this time of year, especially when we have a little snow before Christmas. It makes even simple things, like walking the dog, seem more festive.
We also put up our Christmas tree over the weekend, and I must say that it's my favorite one we've had! The snow was falling outside while we listened to music, drank our tea (In Zach's case, his beer), and decorated the tree. It was a true Canadian weekend :)

It seems fitting that today's wish on my Christmas Wishlist, is a Canadian tradition. I have always loved the heritage blanket from Hudson's Bay Company. The stripes are recognizable all over the world! I think that it would look stunning draped over the back of my couch in the Winter season.



*Update - In my quest to find a good photo of the HBC blanket, I came across a photo of the hooded jacket, and decided it must be added to my list as well! I would love to go for a skate on the canal, proudly wearing this Canadian icon.

I was inspired by the creativity and the unique features of each one. Don't you wish you could go for a visit and sit at the table for a little while? Smashbox Wishes

I have no clue where I would keep this, as my bathroom is tiny, but the irrational side of me wants it anyway! I saw this Smashbox collection in a Murale catalogue last night, and I knew right then that I would think about it for days. It houses 49 (FORTY NINE!) eye shadows, 10 cream eye liners, 6 brow powders, 1brow wax, 8 lip glosses, 2 blush, 1 bronzer, 1 highlighter, and 4 mini brushes.

I think this would make an amazing gift for any girlfriend, daughter, friend, or mother!
