Hudson's Bay Company Heritage Blanket

Today I woke up to a beautiful, sparkling two inch layer of snow! Cooper was so excited and ran around like a maniac in my backyard (For those who don't know, Cooper is a dog, not a person). I love this time of year, especially when we have a little snow before Christmas. It makes even simple things, like walking the dog, seem more festive.
We also put up our Christmas tree over the weekend, and I must say that it's my favorite one we've had! The snow was falling outside while we listened to music, drank our tea (In Zach's case, his beer), and decorated the tree. It was a true Canadian weekend :)

It seems fitting that today's wish on my Christmas Wishlist, is a Canadian tradition. I have always loved the heritage blanket from Hudson's Bay Company. The stripes are recognizable all over the world! I think that it would look stunning draped over the back of my couch in the Winter season.



*Update - In my quest to find a good photo of the HBC blanket, I came across a photo of the hooded jacket, and decided it must be added to my list as well! I would love to go for a skate on the canal, proudly wearing this Canadian icon.
